Locate in an area where potential patients are available and ready to use your services based on the number of people, per capita income, age structure and buying habits.

Choose a highly visible location.

To capture the attention of potential patients, choose the location with the highest visibility. Consider locating adjacent to large high schools, sports facilities or regional shopping centers. Use the maximum permissible signage. Identify sight lines where your sign(s) will be visible from all angles and approaches whether by car, public transit or on foot.

Choose a location with convenient access.

Make sure that your location is accessible by pedestrian routes, bus, streetcar, subway or automobile depending on what mode of transportation you expect your patients to use. Choose a location near a major highway to draw customers from areas not immediately adjacent to your business. Once they arrive, ensure there will be adequate free parking, customers will drive a greater distance to your location simply because it is easy to access and parking is free.
